Stress is a blanket term for a number of factors that describe the brain’s response to events (typically unpleasant ones), which the patient feels he or she has only limited control over.
Stress can manifest itself in a virtually unlimited number of ways, including headaches, muscle spasms, depression, insomnia, hypertension, and inappropriate social behavior, among many others. Like other conditions, treatment depends on multiple factors, both physical and emotional, but in most cases getting adequate sleep, maintaining a proper diet, and exercise are recommended.
Acupuncture is often thought of for the treatment of stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and chronic fatigue. Stress is very common, it is part of our struggle to deal with situations where we want or don’t want certain things to happen….We can feel sadness when change happens, and fear as well when the new changes arrive. Change is a guaranteed thing, so it seems some stress is also. Lots of wisdom, and compassion, and patience will certainly be on MY list, and of course I do recommend acupuncture. The point sites will probably include some neck and upper back points. Maybe Li 3 on the foot, perhaps St 36 by the knee. There are many relevant point sites, and our choice will depend on your complete story of signs and symptoms. The treatment is gentle, painless, and relaxing.
Lots of relief from even the first treatment!
